Heads up: New OpenBOM integration with Autodesk Fusion 360 – Templates and Drawing Support

I’m very much excited to give a first preview of the work we’re doing to improve customer workflows and feature scope of OpenBOM and Autodesk Fusion360 integration.

For the last months, we’ve been working with many Autodesk Fusion360 customers and learned about their demands and needs in improvements of workflows between OpenBOM and Autodesk Fusion360.

We realize how important is a flexible data management organization and cloud availability of the system to provide downstream information integration in manufacturing planning and purchasing. This is where OpenBOM Order BOM, Purchase Order, and Accounting System (eg. QuickBooks, etc.) integrations are playing the key role. Formula calculations and rollups are also playing a very important role in helping to have continues cost and mass control for the product.

However, we also realized the need for better configuration and integration with Fusion360 drawings. We also realized the need in some user experience improvements

In the next Autodesk Fusion360 plug-in update, we are going to introduce new template mechanism and integration with Fusion360 drawings. More detailed information will be available later.

Meantime, here is a short video to give you an idea about where are we going.

Conclusion.

OpenBOM is multi-tenant cloud data management system available on-demand to any Autodesk Fusion360 for FREE. To subscribe for a free account and check features and functions available in professional and company subscriptions navigate to this link

Let’s get to know each other better. If you live in the Greater Boston area, I invite you for a coffee together (coffee is on me). If not nearby, let’s have a virtual coffee session — I will figure out how to send you a real coffee.
