Sales Representative (Worldwide, Remote)

We’re looking for an engineer who loves sales. If you enjoy engineering tools and talking to customers, this job is perfect for you.

Job Description:

  • Part of the sales team, work with VP of Sales and pre-sale engineers 
  • Contact trial users and leads to understand their needs.
  • Communicate regularly with prospects and customers via email and calls.
  • Close deals using our CRM tool.
  • Use your engineering knowledge to explain OpenBOM’s value.
  • Share customer feedback with our product team.
  • Work with marketing and product teams to align sales efforts with company goals.

Required Skills: 

  • Engineering background in mechanical or electronic design and manufacturing.
  • Familiar with CAD, PDM, PLM, ERP tools.
  • Willing to sell to engineers and manufacturing companies.
  • Good at explaining technical stuff simply.
  • Customer-focused, motivated, and goal-oriented.
  • English (fluent), other languages (advantage)
Technical Pre-Sales Engineer

In this remote sales role, you will use your understanding of engineering and sales to provide demos and technical support to all prospects. Requirements:

  • Technical, engineering, or manufacturing-based background 
  • Experience with CAD and PDM systems 
  • Practical experience in CAD systems (must – SOLIDWORKS, any others is an advantage – Onshape, Autodesk Fusion 360, Altium, PTC Creo Parametric, NX, CATIA) 
  • 2+ years of experience in technical sales 
  • Good presentation skills in English
  • Experience in using a CRM software
  • Understanding of PLM concepts

Senior Software Backend Engineer / Team Lead

  • Experience in engineering and manufacturing processes
  • Understanding of CAD, PDM, PLM, ERP and related products and disciplines
  • Product management experience working for one of CAD or PLM vendors before
  • Hands on knowledge and experience of one of the following products is a big plus – SOLIDWORKS, Solid Edge, Autodesk Inventor, Onshape, CATIA, NX, Creo
  • Experience with SaaS, cloud products is a plus
  • Experience with product marketing and social networking
  • Experience with technical support online
  • Willingness to work for startup and geographically distributed team
  • Location can be anywhere, but preference for North America and New England.
