Headsup: Clearer Order & PO Visibility in the OpenBOM Dashboard

A quick heads up on a user experience improvement for orders and PO / RFQ visibility in the dashboard.

If you work with purchasing and order management in OpenBOM, you know that visibility and speed matter. When orders start flowing and POs move between states, the ability to quickly see what is open, what is released, and what has been received becomes essential.

We’ve introduced new dashboard filters to make this process much simpler and more intuitive.

Now, you can instantly navigate between:

  • Orders → Open
  • Orders → Released
  • Purchase Orders → Open
  • Purchase Orders → Received

This improved organization helps teams reduce friction in daily operations. Instead of scanning long lists or manually sorting records, you can switch views with a single click and focus on what requires attention.

For purchasing teams, this means faster follow-up on open POs. For operations, it means better clarity on what has been released to suppliers. And for management, it provides a cleaner operational snapshot without exporting data or creating extra reports.

Conclusion.

OpenBOM continues to improve the user experience by reducing unnecessary clicks and simplifying navigation. This update is another example of how we are making it easier for users to get their work done faster and with greater clarity.
