Heads up – OpenBOM Integration with Google Sheet

We’ve been getting many requests to expand OpenBOM integration with Google Sheet. I’m happy to share some early information about OpenBOM import from Google Sheet coming in the next release (yay!!!). So, let’s say, I want to import BOM from the following Google Sheet

The first function will integrate Google Sheet file picker from OpenBOM import function.

Selection of file will be similar to Google Drive integration already available in OpenBOM

The data from the Google Sheet will be imported in OpenBOM.

It is simple and sweet.

Conclusion

At OpenBOM, we see a growing need to provide better integration with cloud online tools. You probably heard already about OpenBOM Quickbooks online integration. If not, please check out this article. Coming OpenBOM Google Sheet integration will improve the way OpenBOM users can bring data from their existing spreadsheets in Google and convert it into OpenBOM Bill of Materials.

Best, Oleg @ openbom dot com.

Let’s get to know each other better. If you live in the Greater Boston area, I invite you for a coffee together (coffee is on me). If not nearby, let’s have a virtual coffee session — I will figure out how to send you a real coffee.
