From Screws to Chocolate – A New Set of OpenBOM Demo Data Is Coming

I’m happy to give you a heads up about the new OpenBOM demo data set is coming very soon. With the introduction of fully automated instant 14-days trial, we realized the importance to provide an environment to discover all available OpenBOM features. The best way to do so is to experience OpenBOM features using the demo data set. As before, you will be able to add the data set using Help — >> Manage Demo Data command.

Below is a new video, which gives you 5 minutes outline of all demo data with important features and functions.

We have made an effort to diversify the data set to cover a growing landscape of OpenBOM customers. While traditional screws, nuts, and bolts are still the mainstream of industrial equipment manufacturers, we are excited to see a growing set of companies working on high-tech equipment, automotive suppliers, retail, consumer goods, and food. So, our demo set is clearly a story from nuts, bolts, and chocolate demonstrating what OpenBOM has to offer.

Here are a few elements of the data and functionality covered in this video

1- Search Dashboard allows you to full-text search and filters

2- CAD design integrations imports data from CAD systems.

3- Sharing data in real-time.

4- Managing catalogs with Quantity on Hands, inventory, lead time, cost, etc.

5- Formulas and calculations

6- Vendor management, approved vendors.

7- Planning options with Order BOM, batches, and PO creation.

In addition to that, check out samples of property tables with additional data definitions and also user-defined views.

Watch the video.

Conclusion

We’ve been amazed about the breadth and depth of the OpenBOM demo data set and we are very excited to bring it to you. A piece of comprehensive information will help you to understand the discipline of BOM management and purchase planning together with a set of amazing OpenBOM functions.

Keep in mind, the registration process is free and you can have it here, also to start a free 14-days trial using a one-click registration
