PREVIEW – New Visual Dashboard Filter

The demand to search and filter data in the easiest and user-friendly way is one of the most critical elements of a system. It is very easy to say, but sometimes quite hard to implement. Therefore, searching and filtering is on the top list of many vendors when it comes to the question of how to slice and dice their data.

OpenBOM Dashboards

At OpenBOM we have multiple ways to search and filter information via dashboards and a variety of filters. Our ITEMS and BOM dashboard, introduced earlier this year, provided a new visual way to present information with the two options – grid and tiles, also allowing users to use user-defined views to configure what properties to show.

New Filtering Option

A new filtering mechanism for this dashboard will include an easy way to slice and dice the data by selecting any property and matching the value.

Check out our video with the early preview of the filter.

Conclusion

Data is a central part of anything companies do these days. Having a flexible way to present information and find the right items, navigate to related objects – BOMs, Items, Orders, and others – is the role of OpenBOM’s ITEMS Dashboard. With a new filtering option, we’ve made this dashboard much more useful than before.
