OpenBOM™ Integration with Autodesk Fusion for Electronics Design

If you’re using Autodesk Fusion Electronics for your PCB design projects, OpenBOM provides a seamless way to extract and manage data directly from your schematic documents.

With this direct integration, OpenBOM reads component information, properties, and library data from your Fusion schematics and automatically creates a structured Bill of Materials (BOM) in the cloud.

As you make updates to your schematic, you can easily refresh your BOM in OpenBOM by clicking “Update BOM”.

This action re-reads your schematic and synchronizes the component information, properties, and metadata with your existing BOM in OpenBOM.

You stay in full control of when updates are applied — ensuring that your BOM always reflects the latest design intent, without any unwanted automatic changes.

Main features:

  • The embedded add-in creates BOMs directly from Fusion Electronics schematics.
  • Easily send Fusion component data to OpenBOM with one click.
  • Include ref-des, library metadata, and thumbnail images.
  • Extend BOM by adding Rows and Columns on-the-fly.
  • Easily include and manage non-modeled items like glue, tape, or assembly materials.
  • Create Vendor Lists and assign component Vendors.
  • Manage and roll up costs, quantities, and other properties for all parts to see the total board cost.
  • Exclude unwanted properties from BOM.

Create Planning BOMs and Purchase Orders with a single click.
